STEAM: Catapults

Everyone’s invited to come and explore the world around you through Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) with your South Branch Library! Explore the exciting world of STEAM with a fun, hands-on activity that encourages curiosity, creativity, and discovery. This session is all about catapults where we’ll supply you with the materials, you’ll need to fashion your own, on a much smaller and safer scale of course. Use plastic spoons, rubber bands, and craft sticks to design and create your own. Then see what adjustments you might need to make to adjust the power and distance of items your catapults are able to launch. All materials will be supplied so come have some fun with building and physics.
