Celebrations of the World: Lunar New Year

Friday, February 20th
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Abilene Public Library South Branch

Become a part of a new celebration at your South Branch Library as we learn about festive occasions hosted around the world in each session. This interactive story time invites kids and families to come out and explore how people across the globe celebrate different times of the year. Through lively read-aloud, colorful pictures, and interactive discussions, young listeners will learn about traditions around the world. At this session, we’re focusing on the Lunar New Year, the celebration of the first new moon of the lunar calendar and ends with the first full moon. Celebrated across many Asian cultures, come learn about this celebration at your library, and make a fun craft to remember the program by too.
